Eric S. Kim is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of British Columbia and director of the Psychosocial Flourishing and Health Lab. His research investigates how dimensions of psychological well-being — including purpose in life and optimism — influence age-related health outcomes, and explores the behavioral, biological, and social mechanisms that link psychological well-being to physical health. He is also a Visiting Scientist at the Lee Kum Sheung Center for Health and Happiness at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Research Affiliate with Harvard's Human Flourishing Program.
