This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Global Flourishing Study research portal and how we use it.

What we collect

  • Account information. Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo.
  • Research conversations. The questions you ask the research chat and the responses you receive, so we can show you your past chats and improve the system.
  • Usage analytics. Aggregate, non-identifying data about how the site is used (e.g., page views, query categories).

How we use it

We use this information to operate and improve the service, to maintain your account, and to understand which research topics are most useful to readers. We do not sell personal information.

Third-party services

We use Supabase for authentication and data storage, OpenAI / Google / OpenRouter for language model inference, and Cohere for search reranking. These providers process your queries and account data under their own privacy terms.

Your choices

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us through the Global Flourishing Study site. You can sign out at any time from the account menu.

Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Conversation history is stored under your account and is deleted when you delete the account.
