Margie E. Lachman is the Minnie and Harold Fierman Professor of Psychology at Brandeis University, where she directs the Lifespan Lab and the Boston Roybal Center for Active Lifestyle Interventions. Her research focuses on lifespan development with an emphasis on midlife and aging, examining how psychosocial factors such as sense of control and behavioral factors such as physical exercise can protect against cognitive and health decline. She is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and the Gerontological Society of America.
