Kathryn A. Johnson is a Research Professor in the Department of Psychology at Arizona State University. Her research examines the social perception of non-human agents — including God, robots, and pathogens — and how those perceptions shape moral decision-making, values, and prosocial behavior. She holds expertise in both religious studies and social psychology, and her work has been supported by the John Templeton Foundation, DARPA, and the National Science Foundation. She serves as an associate editor for Psychology of Religion and Spirituality.
