
Yunfeng Lu is an Associate Professor of Sociology and Executive Director of the Center for the Study of Chinese Religion and Society at Peking University. His research focuses on the governance of religion in China, new religious movements, the role of religion in the public sphere, and the intersection of urbanization and religion. He earned his Ph.D. in Sociology from City University of Hong Kong and held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Baylor Institute for Studies of Religion. He has published extensively on the sociology of religion in both Chinese and English.
