Yukiko Uchida

Yukiko Uchida is Professor and Director at the Kyoto University Institute for the Future of Human Society (Kyoto, Japan), where she leads the Cultural-Kokoro Network laboratory. A cultural and social psychologist, she examines cross-cultural variation in emotion, happiness, and well-being, with a focus on how cultural practices and social relationships shape psychological flourishing. She has been an APS Fellow since 2022 and received the Tachibana Award from Kyoto University for outstanding female researchers.
