Verónica Benet-Martínez is an ICREA Professor of Multiculturalism and Identity in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. Her research examines how culture shapes personality and psychological processes, with a particular focus on bicultural identity, acculturation, and the psychological dynamics of multicultural experience. She received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis, and previously held faculty positions at the University of Michigan and UC Riverside. She received the Wegner Theoretical Innovation Prize from the Society for Personality and Social Psychology in 2024.
