Jan Delhey is Full Professor of General Sociology and Macrosociology at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany, where he has held the chair since 2015. His research focuses on societal quality of life, subjective well-being, social trust, and social cohesion from a comparative cross-national perspective. He is a board member of the International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies and co-editor of the Journal of Trust Research.
