Homero Vallada is Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine, Universidade de São Paulo (USP), where he coordinates the Genetics and Pharmacogenetics Program (PROGENE) at the Institute of Psychiatry. He holds an MD from the Federal University of São Paulo and a PhD from King's College, University of London, and has been a visiting professor at the Karolinska Institutet. His research spans psychiatric genetics, pharmacogenetics, epigenetics, and more recently sociogenomics with a focus on wellbeing and flourishing.
