Erik W. Carter is the Luther Sweet Endowed Chair in Disabilities and Professor of Educational Psychology at Baylor University, where he also serves as Executive Director of the Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing. His research focuses on promoting inclusion, belonging, and full participation for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, with a particular strand examining the intersections of faith, disability, and flourishing. Before joining Baylor in 2023 he held the Cornelius Vanderbilt Chair in Special Education at Vanderbilt University.
