Colin Mayer is Emeritus Professor of Management Studies at the Saïd Business School and Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. He was the first professor appointed to Saïd Business School and served as its Dean from 2006 to 2011. His research spans corporate finance, governance, regulation, and corporate purpose, and he is known for arguing that businesses should serve broad social as well as economic ends. He was appointed CBE in 2017 for services to business education.
