Carsten Sauer is Full Professor of Social Inequality and Social Structural Analysis at Bielefeld University, Germany, a position he has held since 2021. His research examines justice perceptions of earnings, gender inequalities in wage negotiations, and cross-national patterns of income fairness, using factorial survey and vignette experiments. He holds a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator Grant for research on subjective pay fairness and gender wage gaps.
