Caroline Bartel is a Professor of Management in the Rosenthal Department of Management at the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin. Her research examines how organizational cultures, structures, and interpersonal dynamics shape employee identity, engagement, and wellbeing, with particular attention to organizational identity and identification, group emotion, and employee belonging and respect at work. She holds a PhD in Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan and joined UT Austin in 2005 after a period at New York University. She is a contributing author to the Global Flourishing Study, focusing on social connections and childhood predictors of wellbeing.
