Alonzo L. Plough is Vice President for Research, Evaluation and Learning and Chief Science Officer at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, a role he has held since 2014, and is also a Clinical Professor of Health Services at the University of Washington School of Public Health. He holds a PhD and MA from Cornell University and an MPH from Yale. Over a career spanning more than 25 years in public health practice, he has served as director of public health in Boston and as director of emergency preparedness for Los Angeles County. He has held academic appointments at Harvard, Tufts, and Boston University.
