Aleefia Somji is an Associate Professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Principal Technical Advisor for the MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership project at Jhpiego, a USAID flagship initiative. She holds an MSc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a DrPH from the same institution, with specialization in monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning in global health. Her work spans maternal health, family planning, malaria, and health systems programming across multiple African countries, drawing on her background and lived experience in Tanzania.
