Alan Piper is Lecturer in Economics at Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds, where he joined the faculty in 2022. His research centers on human wellbeing from economic and social science perspectives, with a particular focus on the relationship between age, ageing, and life satisfaction across the lifecycle. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Wellbeing Economics, is a member of the World Wellbeing Panel, and is a member of the scientific team of Harvard's Global Flourishing Survey.
